Coeur d'Alene Church of the Nazarene

MY FAITH

You've found it! The single most important section on the Cd'A NAZ Youth Ministry Website which is dedicated to your faith (your supposed to read the heading in the first person, not the third person). I guess i could have called it Your Faith, but then it wouldn't rhyme with any uber-popular internet fads...that i'm aware of. On it you'll find some interesting spiritual topics to think about and discuss, inspiring devotionals to help you grow deeper in your relationship with Christ, links to helpful websites, and the core values and beliefs of our Ministry.

As the Youth pastor I want you to know why I convert oxygen into carbon dioxide. So here is my ministry's purpose:

I am called to minister to teens and their families by introducing
them to a relationship with Christ and helping them to know Him better

Youth Group's Purpose Statement:

We exist to know Jesus Christ, and make Him known

Here is a Devotional Thought contributed by Alyssa, one of our students:

~Decisions~

Joshua 1:9-  “...This is my command-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (New Living Translation)

We all have decisions in our lives and I know for me one was that God was calling me to go to someone and tell them that I couldn’t be their best friend anymore.  They were tearing me down in many ways including my faith.  So I was ignoring God and saying “I can’t tell her, it's not like me to be bold and tell someone that.”  “What if they get mad at me? How will I do this?” “Can’t I just lead her to God?” Then he gave me the verse Joshua 1:9.  He wouldn’t let me get that person off my mind and so I finally wrote a letter telling her that I couldn’t be friends anymore and gave it to her. After i did that it opened up so many doors that God could work in me and I realized how much more freedom I have from the choice I made. I know that was one of the hardest decisions for me but, one of the best I ever made. I’ve had and have many hard decisions to make and struggle with but I know that all iIhave to do is trust God in everything and he will lead me along the right path. But that is not easy, but I always keep in my mind all of the things that have been hard for me and how then made it through and just how I can grow off of my past experiences.

What are some decisions that you have?

What ever your decisions may be, God will help you so you can conquer them.  He promises that he will never leave us! It might NOT be easy for us to do but, God will be with us ALWAYS!!! If we allow him 2!

(If you would like to  hear how i have gotten through more of my struggles I would love to share with you. Or if you have any questions for me. My e-mail is adlbanner@yahoo.com) Billy is always open also.
